I grew up in a village on the outskirts of The Potteries. As a child I roamed along canals and across fields and began a love of nature.

I worked in factories and a Royal Doulton potbank before gaining an art degree. Later I became a public servant. I'm married to a biology teacher, have two daughters and a lurcher.

I've made art for schools, churches, museums and community groups as well as being commissioned by individuals.

I live in Leicester, make art and teach in Leicester Museum, often about it's renowned German Expressionist collection.

I'm a qualified hypnotherapist.
